Something about the season finale of Californication last night starring David Duchovny…as he leaves his latest lover played by Maggie Grace (daughter of Liam Neeson in Taken and Taken 2) who is blonde, all grown up and beautiful to head back to California (ah, California) to knock on the love of his life, Karen’s door, and well, live happily ever after? Season 6 next year will give us the answer, but like the signs said, everything could change when the door opens, and yeah, we all can’t wait to find out. Something about last night’s show, the lure of the cozy cottage in Venice beach, the bond between these two, never broken as daughter, Becca, takes off to Europe on a “literary pilgrimage”, better know as a coming of age adventure. Do all roads lead home, not so much geographically but in heart and mind and spirit? Wouldn’t it be nice if we were happy…until next year when season 6 of this series returns!
