About the Author

Susan Willoch Shaver was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Agnes Scott College with a bachelor of arts in history. She spent most of her adult life in Metro Atlanta until relocating to Southwest Florida in 2004 for six years where she encountered the misadventures and hilarious encounters that brought about the desire to write Surviving “Paradise”.

She has two beautiful grown daughters who both live in Atlanta and is the proud grandmother of five adorable grandchildren.

Susan enjoys writing, reading, yoga, movies, theater, and is a sports fanatic. She is a lifelong Georgia Tech fan.

After spending some time in Savannah, Georgia, Jacksonville, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia, she currently lives in Palm Desert, California.

The screenplay adapted from the book was a semi-finalist in the 2016 LA CineFest competition. It is also included in the Lift Off Global Network script initiative data base which is associated with the Lift Off Global Network at Pinewood Studios in London, England.  The script was named a finalist in the 2018 LA Live Film Festival.
