NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has handed down his penalty for Donald Sterling, owner of the LA Clippers after his horrific racist comments! He is banned for life and will be fined 2.5 million dollars, all of the money to be donated to groups that support anti-discrimination. This is the largest fine in NBA history. I bet David Stern is glad he has retired! This is a serious offense, and a very severe and serious punishment in response! The whole story is awful, and shameful.
Moving to Pop Culture…the season finale of The Following aired last night. Not much lighter fare here, except that is TV, not real life. Let’s see, Claire and Ryan are not going to ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after? Ryan does not kill Joe, when given the chance? Perhaps saving his own soul instead? Max and Mike kiss…FINALLY! And those two twisted twins, well someone picks them up, not sure if one of them is dead or alive, and who is driving the SUV that rescues them? That will all be enticing drama to await us in the next season of this dark but really entertaining show. Kevin Bacon as Ryan Hardy is fantastic!
Also, Harry (Prince Harry) is reportedly single again. Not too surprising but I do love Harry! He is so charming and devilish, in the best of ways!
Looking forward to tennis action next week in Madrid! Federer, Wawrinka, Nadal, and Djokovic all expected to reconvene. The clay court action resumes on the road to Roland Garros. Be there or be square!! P.S. GO FED!
