Big day for Mickelson in the desert

Phil Mickelson has surged to the lead in the Waste Management Phoenix Open with a round of 64 and sits atop the leaderboard at – 24.  He is trailed by Snedeker at 18 (65), Harrington at -16 (63) and Moore at – 16 (65).  Mickelson has shot three rounds of outstanding golf, 60, 65, and 64.  He now has the opportunity to either tie the PGA record for four rounds of golf at 189 or break the record tomorrow in the final round.  He has already tied the tournament record for 54 holes of golf.  Lefty is very comfortable playing in the desert, having played his collegiate golf at Arizona State University.  They love him out there, and he is delivering some of the best golf he has played in quite awhile.  Tomorrow the action concludes with coverage beginning at 3:00 EST.
