End of an era in Baltimore

Ray Lewis, LB for the Baltimore Ravens has announced this season will be his last.  It marks the end of an era in Baltimore.  Lewis is a twelve time Pro Bowler (only Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons surpasses him with thirteen selections).  Lewis and the Ravens will face Indy and Andrew Luck in an AFC wild card game this Sunday.

In other NFL news, the coaching rumors continue to swirl.  Andy Reid after being fired by the Philadelphia Eagles will reportedly interview with the Kansas City Chiefs and then the Arizona Cardinals.  He appears to be headed to Arizona.  Bill O’Brien, head coach at Penn State is interested in the NFL offers headed his way.  Nick Saban, Alabama, supposedly has said thanks, but no thanks.  Chip Kelly, Oregon, well, it’s a bit of a wait and see.  He is in Arizona preparing for the Fiesta Bowl on Thursday evening.  Reports say he will meet with officials from the Cleveland Browns later this week in Arizona.

Stay tuned…this coaching drama is just getting started!
