FSU rolls in the Orange Bowl

12 FSU rolled over 15 N. Illinois 31 – 10 in the Orange Bowl last night.  The game was a bit closer through the 3rd quarter with FSU leading 17 – 10 but with too much speed and depth for N. Illinois, the Noles blew it open in the final quarter.  Many had questioned the selection of N. Illinois even though their ranking justified the selection.  They hung for three quarters but in the end, FSU showed why choosing a non automatic qualifier was perhaps not the right choice.  Perhaps Big East Co-Champion, 21 Louisville would have been a better opponent for the Noles.  Instead, they will face off against the other team from Florida, the third ranked Gators in the Sugar Bowl tonight, 8:00 pm EST on ESPN.  For the record, I am predicting a victory for the Gators!

Thursday night is the game I am really looking forward to, The Fiesta Bowl which will match 4 Oregon against 5 Kansas State.  This game, in addition to the BCS National Championship game on Monday, 1/7/13 is to me, the most anticipated bowl match up.  It is the only other bowl game to feature two top five teams!
