The Miami Heat are back into the NBA finals for the third year in a row. They defeated the Pacers last night in Miami, 99 – 76. It was never really close. LeBron had 32 points and 6 rebounds and did get more help from his South Beach supporting cast of Wade and Bosh. Not sure he needed too much help last night. Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 18 points and 8 rebounds while Paul George had a dismal performance, fouling out with over seven minutes to play in the 4th period. He finished with a mere 7 points and 7 rebounds. Really a shame as he had been a superstar for the Pacers throughout this series. The Heat led by fifteen points at the half after a huge 2nd period and all in all, it was a blowout! Too bad for the Pacers who had really battled to make this a seven game series.
So, now on Thursday, the NBA Finals get underway (provided the Spurs have returned from vacationing in the Caymans!) Should be a good series, not ready to declare the Heat winners of their second consecutive NBA title just yet. The Spurs are going to be a really good test, and I am pulling for Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and company! GO SPURS!
