Heat take game five in Miami over Pacers, 90 – 79

The Miami Heat took a 3 -2 lead in the Eastern Conference finals over the Pacers last night with a home win, 90 – 79.  LeBron brought his “A” game, 30 points, but Lance Stephenson for the Pacers only brought his “D” game, finishing with 4 points and fouling out.  The Pacers led at the half, 44 – 40 but then LeBron gave his team a “talking to” early in the 3rd period and from there on out, it was all about Miami.  There was some ugliness early on as the Birdman (Anderson) shoved Tyler Hansbrough to the floor and was given a flagrant one foul and both were accessed technical fouls (why Hansbrough got a technical was a bit confusing as he did nothing to even retaliate) but from there on out, everyone played relatively nice with each other.  The Pacers suffered from missed layups and way too many turnovers, especially for a shot at winning on the road.  So, it is back to Indy for game six on  Saturday.  Can the Pacers win at home and force a game seven back in Miami.  Stay tuned…it is certainly possible.

Meanwhile, the Spurs are probably somewhere in the Cayman Islands resting and relaxing while they wait to see who they will face in the NBA finals which get started June 6th!
