Indy Race – Day 2 from Detroit

The duel in Detroit concluded today with Simon Pagenaud emerging as the winner in this second race of the weekend from Belle Isles.  James Jakes finished in 2nd, Mike Conway (winner of race #1 on Saturday) came in 3rd, 4th place went to Scott Dixon and 5th place finisher, Dario Franchitti.  There was a huge crash involving ten cars and Will Power had to be restrained as he was, shall we say, rather upset with Sebastian Bordais.  He referred to him as going from a champ to a chump.  Oh well, everyone was OK and I am not a Will Power fan anyway.  Glad to see Dario in the top five and “Dixie” up there as well.

Oval racing returns next weekend from Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday.  I love the ovals!  Way more exciting than the street races, or “parades” as my Indy insider likes to call them.

Until next weekend…
