It is done…

UGA 42 – GT 10.  It is mercifully over.  UGA will look toward next week’s game in Atlanta for the SEC Championship, with the possibility of playing for the BCS Championship should they win.  College GameDay will be in Atlanta next Saturday to preview this game, and the other conference championship games.

Georgia Tech will limp into the ACC Championship game next weekend in Charlotte, NC to face FSU.  As a Tech fan, I hope for a better performance from the Jackets.

Some other noon games are coming to an end, not quite over yet.  Some mid afternoon games just getting underway.

Virginia Tech kicked a game winning field goal with time running out to beat Virginia 17 – 14.  This makes VT bowl eligible for the 20th straight year.  Still, a very disappointing year for Frank Beamer and the Hokies.  U Conn defeats 20 Louisville, 10 – 3; Pitt defeats 18 Rutgers, 27 – 6 and Ohio State finishes undefeated under Urban Meyer, winning 26 – 21 over 19 Michigan.  (Ohio State is only eligible for ranking in the AP Poll).

More results as they come in…
