Thursday tennis results from Rome

OK, here are the tennis results from Rome at the BNL D’Italia!  Sorry for the delay but it has been one of those days!  No elaboration!

Men’s action: Murray over Meltzer in two sets; Nadal in a tough match over Youzhny in three sets; (Murray and Nadal tomorrow in a semifinal)  Raonic in an “upset” over Tsonga in two sets and Wawrinka falls to the “old” guy Tommy Haas!  Also, Dimitrov in three sets over Berdych and well, I guess that is enough!  Still missing Federer but that is all me!

On the women’s side of the draw: Li Na over Stosur in two sets; Serena in two easy sets; A. Radwanska in two sets; Jankovic and Errani in two sets as well.  In the match of the day, Ana Ivanovic over Maria Sharapova, 6-1, 6-4.  Go Ana!  She was oh, so close last week in Madrid and today she got it done!

Tomorrow the action continues!  Really happy for Ana Ivanovic and Tommy Haas.  Still say Rafa is vulnerable.  Djokovic advanced easily and S. Halep forced to withdraw on the women’s side due to a stomach ailment.

Looking forward to the quarterfinals and the semifinals and I do realize that NBA action is ongoing as well.  Promise…I will get to that as soon as the tennis action concludes!

Short post but that is all I have today folks.  Happy Friday tomorrow and I will be back with you!  Have a good night!
