Tiger Woods leads Bridgestone Invitational at -13

Boy, oh boy does Tiger Woods love this golf course.  For the second time in his career, Tiger Woods shot a spectacular round of golf today at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, a round of 61 (30 on front nine, 31 on back nine) and he sits atop the leaderboard at -13 with a seven shot lead.  It was truly Tiger at his best. (9 under par on today’s round)  He was in the zone, at least until the 18th hole, which he made a mess of, and then still with a magnificent putt managed to par it to remain at -13.  Playing along side him was Matsuyama who finished up at E.  After day two, the leaderboard is currently: Tiger Woods -13, Keegan Bradley and Chris Wood at -6, Bill Haas and Henrik Stenson at -5, Jim Furyk, Luke Donald, Bubba Watson and Jason Duffner at -4.  Rain came in late in today’s round and more rain is in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow morning.  Coverage of round three will begin at noon on Golf Channel and then switch over to CBS at 2:00 pm EST, weather permitting.

Other notables today include the following: Rickie Fowler -2, Webb Simpson -2, Zach Johnson -1 and Dustin Johnson E.  Rory Mcilory finished at +1 and Phil Mickelson a disappointing +3.

What a day of golf by Tiger Woods on a course he truly loves to play.  Can he keep it up tomorrow and into Sunday?  Stay tuned!
