Two teams punch their ticket to Final Four

Two teams are headed to Atlanta for the Final Four next weekend, 4 Syracuse from the East Region and 9 Wichita State from the West.  Yes, you read it correctly, Wichita State is headed to the final four.  It is their first trip to the event since 1965.  They eliminated 2 Ohio State, 70 – 66 and never trailed in the game.  Very impressive performance.  Equally impressive was the smothering 3-2 zone defense by 3 Syracuse.  They held Marquette to a total of 39 points for the game, (39 point for the whole game!!) and 4 Syracuse is headed to Atlanta with a 55 – 39 victory.

Tomorrow, two more teams will join them to head to the Final Four, 2 Duke or 1 Louisville (Midwest Region) and 4 Michigan or 3 Florida (South Region).  Stay tuned…dancing continues!
