After reaching the #1 ranking this past Monday, Louisville falls at home to 6 Syracuse, 70 – 68. Does not take long to fall in the topsy turvy world of college basketball. 4 Kansas avoids an upset by defeating Texas, 64 – 59. On the rise, 21 Oregon defeats 24 UCLA 76 – 67. Pac 12 college basketball is on it’s way back to significance! Elsewhere, North Carolina defeats Maryland, 10 Florida hammers 17 Missouri, 83 – 52. In action right now, 11 Ohio State and 10 Michigan State (Michigan State up 13 – 11 very early). Later, 13 Butler vs. 8 Gonzaga.
A couple more ACC scores, VT 66 – Wake Forest 65 and Virginia 56 – FSU 36. Really? 36 points for the whole game…
Another final: 18 Michigan State 59 – 11 Ohio State 56 (at Ohio State, hard to win on the road!) And in an unbelievable final, especially the last minute of the game, 13 Butler defeats 8 Gonzaga, 64 – 63. The final few seconds of this game are worth watching on ESPN highlight reel at least a couple of times! Butler is now 16 – 2.
