Oops..there goes my bracket! #1 seed Gonzaga fell to Wichita State last night, 76 – 70. Gonzaga had not experienced the feeling of a loss in nine weeks, but this one will leave a very sour taste. They are the first #1 seed to go out and their exit opens the door for Ohio State in the West. Very disappointing performance by Gonzaga. In other games, 1 Louisville easily took care of Colorado State, 82 – 56. 12 Oregon continues to surprise with a stunning beat down of 3 St. Louis, 74 – 57. The other Pac-12 team 12 California was not so fortunate, going down to 4 Syracuse, 66 – 60. In perhaps the best game of the tournament so far, 6 Butler lost to 3 Marquette, 74 – 72.
A lot of great action on tap for today to complete the process of whittling the field down to the Sweet Sixteen. 1 Kansas and 8 UNC, 1 Indiana and 9 Temple, 7 Creighton and 2 Duke, 7 Illinois and 2 Miami to mention a few.
