“This and That” on a Saturday!

Beautiful day on Saturday in the ATL, and I enjoyed a bit of “this and that”!  What about you guys?

Anyhow…some great oldie but goldies on TV…Serendipity, Innerspace, Switch..I could go on but I won’t!

In NBA action…Vince Carter and the Dallas Mavericks for the win!  Impossible three point shot at the buzzer lifts Dallas to a 2-1 lead over the Spurs (what is up with this, I am pulling for San Antonio!)  Ah..the battle for Texas supremacy!  Also today, the Atlanta Hawks and the Pacers are dead even, 2-2 in their series after the Pacers won today.  Too bad for the Hawks but glad to see the Pacers look like, well the Pacers..#1 seed in the East.  Miami and Chicago in action now (Miami has 2-0 lead in the series) and later, OKC and Memphis square off, with Memphis enjoying a surprising 2-1 lead in the series.

In Stuttgart, Germany, Ana Ivanovic will face Maria Sharapova tomorrow in the final of this women’s clay court tournament on the road to Roland Garros.  Sharapova dispatched Sara Errani today, 6-1, 6-2 and Ivanovic advanced over J. Jankovic (I saw her at Indian Wells!), 6-3, 7-5.  I am pulling for Ana, not much of a Sharapova fan!

Men’s tennis news…well Roger Federer is not playing so I am taking a brief break before the Madrid Open gets underway May 5th.  All the top men should be in action at this event.  Great YouTube video of Roger Federer visiting the offices of his sponsor Credit Suisse!  Check it out…or follow my twitter account, Susan W. Shaver @survivingpara!  I tweeted it just moments ago!

Until later…
